Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Plumber for 2nd shift to install, inspect, repair, and maintain hospital piping systems and related equipment on-site at Main Campus in Columbus, OH.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid Ohio driver’s license, auto insurance, and the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check. Two years of experience plus preferred certifications are also noted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required by hospital policy.
• Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and hospital training.
• Two years of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing systems in hospital facilities and off-site sites.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and building codes to determine optimal plumbing layout.
• Tests plumbing systems for leaks and issues; performs repairs or replacements as needed.
• Collaborates with other construction professionals to ensure proper, timely installations.
• Provides estimates for plumbing services and orders necessary materials.
• Maintains accurate records of work performed and materials used for billing and reference.
