Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operator for the 2nd shift in Mayville, WI. You will help keep our facility and equipment running safely and efficiently by performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical problems, and completing repairs as needed.

Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, comfortable with a variety of tools, and able to work independently to identify and resolve maintenance issues to keep production flowing smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree or related education preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience performing preventative and routine equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance according to established schedules
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and equipment issues
• Perform general repairs and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility structures
• Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove and replace defective components
• Read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs
• Use hand tools, power tools, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, perform routine inspections
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Assist with and oversee outside contractors when specialized repairs are required

In this role, you’ll help keep our facility and equipment running safely and efficiently by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and completing repairs as needed. We’re looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with a variety of tools and equipment, and able to work independently to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
