Job summary

Ventura Coastal, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Level 1 for the Visalia facility. The role focuses on keeping production equipment at maximum uptime, troubleshooting and repairing pumps, motors, and control circuits, including VFDs.

The position requires adherence to food safety and PPE rules and involves collaboration with maintenance staff. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with plant utilities, and the ability to fabricate parts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with control circuits and motor control circuits including VFDs is preferred.
• Post high school maintenance related courses are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain test and troubleshoot citrus juice, oil and production equipment to include pumps, motors, separators, evaporators, conveyors, elevators, and ultra‑filtration systems.
• Maintain, test and troubleshoot plant utility and power systems including compressors, boilers, wastewater systems and NH3 systems.
• Fabricate parts and production piping equipment as required.
• Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication on equipment per the PM schedule.
• Follow safety rules and PPE requirements; report non‑standard conditions.
• Assist general contractors as directed with installation of new or modified equipment.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
