Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods in Apalachin, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Distribution Center. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment including conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, while documenting work in our CMMS and following PM schedules.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree or a 2-year technical certificate in mechanical/electrical fields, 3–5 years of related experience, and safe work practices with LOTO.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 2-year technical certificate in mechanical or electrical field.
• 3–5 years of related maintenance experience in a DC or industrial setting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes, PLC controls, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems; document work in CMMS and PM schedules.
• Report spare parts usage to leadership to ensure inventory is maintained.
• Train junior technicians to elevate performance while repairing assets.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete projects safely and timely.
• Perform other duties to support DC operations.
