Job summary

Perrigo Company in New York, NY is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and troubleshoot packaging and compounding equipment and facilities in accordance with SOPs. You will complete work orders, perform preventive maintenance, and support uptime across production lines.

This union position requires initiative, ability to work overtime, and strong Root Cause Analysis skills. Starting pay is $29.00 per hour, with opportunities to contribute to equipment improvements under supervision.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of hands on mechanical experience with packaging equipment.
• Certification program accredited in mechanical engineering/troubleshooting.
• OR
• Three (3) years as Perrigo Set Up Tech plus two years of education in Mechanical/Industrial/Production/Electromechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily Maintenance Tracker for Master Mechanic/supervisor.
• Perform preventive maintenance on packaging, compounding and warehouse equipment.
• Repair packaging and compounding equipment as required (MTCE).
• Train production personnel in proper use of equipment.
• Set up equipment, fine tune, and troubleshoot using Root Cause Analysis.
