2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic - Detroit

Join EW Grobbel, a legacy of excellence in food manufacturing for over 140 years. We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain our high-performance production lines. This is a full-time, mid-senior level position based in Detroit, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, plus Saturdays as scheduled, from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM.

Compensation: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour + $2,000 starting bonus.

Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial equipment such as pumps, valves, conveyors, gearboxes, and control panels.
2. Assist with new production line installations and ensure smooth operations.
3. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.
4. Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics for troubleshooting.
5. Maintain organized, safe work areas and detailed maintenance records.

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of experience in industrial machinery maintenance.
2. Strong troubleshooting skills for packaging machines, motors, conveyors, pumps, and hydraulic systems.
3. Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance.
4. Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
5. Welding and finishing skills are a plus.
6. Prior experience in food manufacturing is highly preferred.
