Job summary

Machinist position in Manitowoc, Wisconsin on the 2nd shift with starting pay of $30.00 per hour plus a 10% shift premium, depending on experience. The role involves reviewing drawings, setting up and operating horizontal and vertical mills, lathes, presses and grinders to manufacture parts with close tolerances.

You will fabricate parts to prints, sharpen and replace tooling, and assist the R&D team with troubleshooting and new tool packages. Overtime may be required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• One year of experience in general machinist/maintenance/repair.
• Experience operating lathes, mills, boring mills and/or machine shop equipment.
• Ability to interpret schematics and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, and samples to ensure accuracy.
• Fabricate parts to conform to prints and inspection reports.
• Set up, adjust, and operate mills, lathes, presses and grinders for close tolerances.
• Sharpen and replace tooling as needed.
• Operate hand, power, and machine tools for finish adjustments.
• Assist R&D with troubleshooting and new tool packages.
