Howmet Aerospace Inc. in City of Industry, CA is seeking a 2nd Shift Machining Tech I, Broach to operate and set up tools for broaching processes at our City of Industry facility.

The role requires basic shop math, ability to read instructions in English, and strong teamwork to support production goals. Ideal candidates will have good communication abilities, lift capability up to 30 pounds, and a willingness to learn safety procedures including lock out/tag out and measurement techniques.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available).
• Export-controlled items access restrictions apply to this role.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• 2nd Shift, Machining Tech I, Broach at City of Industry, CA.
• Read, write and understand basic instructions in English.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Able to lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly.
• Learn how to use measurement instruments.
• Follow directions from Supervisors and leads.
• Complete first piece verification.
• Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Communicate effectively with team members and Production Team Leader.
• Become certified in lock out/tag out.
• Familiar with Human Performance tasks.
• Set up and operate standard and specialized machines.
• Operate all standard machines related to the process in assigned area.
• Exposure to Marraquin and Kencoy Broachers.
• Exposure to surface grinders.

Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a2nd Shift, Machining Tech I, Broach for our City of Industry, California location.

Born from many well-known and long-standing brands, Howmet Fastening Systems, headquartered in Torrance, California, is the premier designer and manufacturer of aerospace and industrial fasteners, latches, fluid fittings and installation tools. Our products are used nose to tail on commercial and military aircraft, as well as on jet engines, industrial gas turbines, automobiles, commercial transportation vehicles, wind turbines, solar power systems, and construction and industrial equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Good communication skills & knowledge of basic shop math

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
