Job Shift: 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm)
2nd Shift Machining Operator at Stabi Machining

Summary: Sets up and operates numerical control equipment to machine components to specifications, ensuring quality goals are met in accordance with Somic America Quality Manual and Policy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Safety: Maintain a safe work environment, report unsafe conditions immediately.
  2. Quality: Perform hourly checks, use in-process check sheets and gaging to ensure parts meet specifications, report suspect materials.
  3. Changeovers: Complete changeovers following procedures, attach fixtures, secure workpieces, and fill out checklists.
  4. Operation: Use AIM for material transactions, follow work instructions, inspect parts, operate machine controls, change tools, perform maintenance, and suggest improvements.

Hourly Rate: $18 + $2.00 shift premium per hour.

  • Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents, communicate effectively.
  • Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rates, ratios, percentages, interpret graphs and SPC charts.
  • Reasoning Ability: Follow instructions, solve problems with concrete variables.
  • Physical Demands: Stand, walk, handle materials, reach, talk, occasionally climb, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment: Exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate noise level.
