Job summary

Staffing Support Specialists is seeking a Machine Operator for the Specialty Folder Gluer on 2nd Shift in Richfield, WI. The role pays $20.00 per hour with a $1.50 per hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts, and requires focus on setup, operation, quality checks and adherence to safety standards.

The successful candidate will have at least a high school diploma or GED, with preferred experience in corrugated, presses, and finishing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year minimum relevant experience preferred.
• Prior experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
• Experience in Press and Finishing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and efficient set-up of all folding and gluing operations of the specialty folder gluer machine in accordance with proper setup techniques.
• Minimize waste of sheet stock and glue.
• Properly operate machine to run efficiently and produce quality products.
• Ensure diagonal and corrugator scores are broken when necessary.
• Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
• Assist in training all post job positions.
• Learn to run a variety of box styles.
• Check quality of boxes during the run, including - mis-slotted boxes, loose liner, misprints, and any other defects.
• Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.
• Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
• Adheres to production schedule. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals. Reports any unusual scheduling issues to Supervisor.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.
