Job summary

CRH, Oldcastle, is seeking a production helper to assist in the creation of products meeting customer specifications. The role requires reading specifications, setting up machines, and ensuring quality by inspecting the output.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining clean, organized work areas to meet deadlines and production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of machine operating experience.
• Ability to review and understand operator instructions.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to use basic math.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team member.

Responsibilities

• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates.
• Observes machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Reviews product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearances assuring product meets quality requirements.
• Performs routine machine maintenance.
• Assists other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product.
• Makes sure all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned areas.
