Job summary

Precision Custom Components is seeking a Machine Operator II for the 2nd shift to join our York, PA facility, on-site and within our unionized shop. The role involves operating CNC and manual machines, reading blueprints, and ensuring parts meet exact specifications.

Wage starts at $32.87 per hour with a $2.00 per hour shift differential for the 2nd shift (3:30 PM - 11:55 PM). You will contribute to safe, accurate, and efficient manufacturing of critical components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges preferred.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and basic mathematical aptitude.
• U.S. citizenship is required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and manual machine tools under established procedures and work instructions.
• Load and unload materials, tooling, and workpieces as required to support production activities.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced in accordance with specifications and quality requirements.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and production documentation.
• Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools to verify part dimensions.
• Perform routine machine adjustments, tool changes, and preventative maintenance activities as directed.
• Identify and report equipment, tooling, quality, or safety concerns to supervision.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work area while following company procedures and applicable shop standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist higher-level machinists and operators as needed.
