Job summary

CandyCo is seeking a Machine Operator-I to run a single machine and support the production floor. Responsibilities include machine setup, quality checks, and routine maintenance, with training duties for new operators and back-ups. Adherence to safety and data entry into ERP systems are essential.

The role emphasizes accurate record keeping, teamwork, and the ability to learn new tasks in a growing production environment, including occasional overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of machine operating experience.
• At least 1 year of production experience.
• Experience with Cavana, Enrobers, and Matrix machines.
• Ability to learn PanelView interfaces and operate state-of-the-art equipment.
• Ability to provide proper equipment maintenance, servicing, and frequent cleaning as required.
• Chocolate/tempering experience is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Train new employees and back-up operators.
• Follow spec sheets.
• Prepare machines for production runs by setting them up and adjusting them.
• Monitor machines while they are running to identify issues or malfunctions.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to keep machines in good condition.
• Check the output of their machines to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Must follow all safety procedures and wear the required protective gear.
• Keep activity logs and production paperwork.
• Input required data into systems such as ERP and Safety Chain.
• Ability to learn new tasks and grow within a continuing growing environment.
