Position Overview

As a 2nd Shift Machine Operator, you will operate and maintain chop saws and federal presses to produce high-quality components. You will ensure machines run efficiently, safely, and according to specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work on the 2nd shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate chop saws and federal presses to cut, shape, and form materials per production requirements.
• Set up, calibrate, and adjust machines for proper operation.
• Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Record production data and machine issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine problems promptly.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet goals.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with chop saws and federal presses preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Basic math skills for measurements.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Availability for 2nd shift, starting around 3:30 pm, with 8-10 hour shifts.
