Custom Engineering Co. is seeking 1st and 2nd shift Full-time Machine Operators with steel industry experience for our Erie, PA location. The role offers an hourly rate up to $24.00 with a $2.00/hr shift differential and a strong benefits package.

Responsibilities include setting up/removing parts, using calipers and gauges, reading blueprints, and performing in-process inspections to ensure tolerances. Prior machining experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must have machining experience.
• Knowledge of addition, subtraction, fractions and decimals; able to calculate tooling speeds/feeds.
• Ability to read blueprints, lay outs, sketches and work orders to determine tolerances and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and remove work pieces from a machine per procedure.
• Proficiently use measuring instruments to ensure conformance of tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspections at a machine and adjust offsets as required.
• Position and secure workpieces on machines using measuring instruments, holding devices, hand tools, and cranes.
• Study blueprints, lay outs, sketches, and work orders to determine tolerances and procedures.
• Recognize tooling types such as facemill, drill, and taps.

We are currently seeking 1st and 2nd shift Full-time Machine Operator with experience in the steel industry to join our team at our Erie, PA location. The position offers an hourly rate of up to $24.00 BOE (Which includes our $2.00/Hr shift differential) and the benefits shown below. Requirements

MACHINE OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES

(Included, but not limited to)

• Ability to perform in-process inspections at a machine and adjust various offsets to ensure conformance of workpieces as required
• Position and secure workpieces on machines using measuring instruments, holding devices, hand tools, and cranes
• Study blueprints, lay outs, sketches, and work orders to determine tolerances and work procedures
• Ability to recognize tooling types -- facemill, drill, taps, etc.
