Job summary

allG Fabrication is seeking a machine operator to support the manufacturing department. The role involves setting up and running CNC lathes, press brakes, OBI punches, drills, and saws, with emphasis on safety, quality, and maintenance.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of related experience and pass a background check. The position is full-time, on site, with a typical 8-hour shift on weekdays and a 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 12am.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-2 years’ operating machinery, general welding, torch.
  • 1-2 years' fabrication experience.
  • 1-2 years' experience working in the manufacturing industry.
  • Pass a criminal background check & drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Set up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order.
  • Perform testing procedures to ensure machines work optimally during production.
  • Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift.
  • Feed information about speed, shapes, and sizes through the machine setup box.
  • Place parts in semi-automated machines.
  • Calibrate machines at the beginning of each shift.
  • Re-calibrate machines at the end of each shift.
  • Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running.
  • Troubleshoot problems during machine operation.
  • Ensure regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out.
  • Perform random tests to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform safety checks on every machine.
  • Ensure machines produce quality products by periodic checks on output.
  • Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times.
  • Create and maintain activity logs.
  • Provide progress updates to supervisors.

Summary:

Provides support to the manufacturing department by operating machinery such as CNC Lathes, Press Brakes, OBI punch presses, Drills, Saws, and other machinery.

Job Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:
