Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding on the Mississippi Gulf Coast is seeking a Lubrication Technician for the 2nd shift. You will lubricate moving parts of pumps, gears, bearings, and other equipment, maintain oil and grease levels, and grease friction surfaces to keep shipboard systems operating reliably. Must have 3 to 5 years of industrial lubrication experience; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 to 5 years of industrial lubrication experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent with shipyard or industrial experience.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate moving parts of a variety of mechanical equipment (pumps, shafting, bearings, engines, gears, pulleys, etc.).
• Maintain oil and grease levels and grease friction surfaces.
• Perform scheduled lubrication according to maintenance plans.
