Kaytee (Central Garden & Pet) is currently looking for a 2nd Local CDL Driver/Forklift Operator -to join our team at Kaytee in Chilton, WI. In this role you will be responsible for setting up and running machines, palletizers and scales. This position works Monday - Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm; be home every weekend!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Yard spotting (transferring trailers in and out of docks)
• Move product to appropriate storage locations using company yard spotter.
• Accurately complete RF scanner functions affecting inventory, and paperwork.
• Safely, accurately and efficiently operate forklift (sit-down/stand-up) and/or handcart.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Pick Orders (as assigned).
• Keeps work area clean and orderly.
• Understand and support the goals and objectives of the department.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Responsible for reporting any Food Safety issues to authorized personnel for correction.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

• CDL License required
• Yard spotting experience preferred.
• Previous forklift (sit-down/stand-up) or handcart experience (preferred).
• Ability to work safely and efficiently.
• Comfortable with the use of an RF Scanner (will train).
• Must be able to perform basic math skills.
• Must have the ability to lift/handle up to 30 lbs. on a frequent basis.
• Must have the ability to lift/handle 31-60 lbs. on a moderate basis.
• Kaytee certification in forklift driving is required (will train).
• Ability to communicate effectively with others and work in a team environment.
• Must have solid organizational skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• This role involves working outdoors in the yard, as well as indoors in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures. Requires the ability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Additionally, there may be instances where lifting or moving items weighing 50-100 pounds is necessary, with assistance. Regular physical activities such as climbing, lifting, bending, standing, walking, twisting, turning, and reaching with arms and hands are also required.
