Job summary

Vestis Corporation in Springfield, IL is seeking a 2nd shift warehouse/laundry associate to support a busy facility. You will handle merchandise, fold linens, and stage goods for staging areas and storage, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires the ability to follow instructions, perform basic math, and work well in a team. Overtime may be required; the position offers benefits and regular weekend possibilities.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand training, written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Stages cart in lift table, secures safety chain, and raises the table.
• Folds linen, aprons, towels, table napkins, and/or fender/seat covers.
• Identifies and segregates merchandise not meeting quality standards (rips, tears, holes, stains).
• Verifies merchandise quantity and bundles by type.
• Places bundles in correct storage bins, carts, or shelves.
• Maneuvers full and empty baskets.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and follows best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
