Job summary

United Way of Greenville County is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support unloading and stocking operations. You will operate a forklift and pallet jack, unload trucks, ensure safety standards, and coordinate with receivers to maintain inbound flow.

Heavy lifting is required in a fast-paced distribution environment; reliability and attention to detail in handling loads and completing paperwork accurately are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with forklift or pallet jack operations.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs frequently and 50–100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates a forklift and/or pallet jack to assist in unloading.
• Removes product from trucks safely and efficiently following safety standards.
• Coordinates with receivers and tow motor operators to ensure proper flow of inbound product.
• Hand-stacks loads with proper labels, ti-hi, and no mixing of products.
• Ensures loads are handled to minimize damage to products.
• Submits paperwork and wraps pallets to ensure stability when storing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates a forklift and/or pallet jack to assist in the unloading process
• Removes product from trucks safely and efficiently, following all safety standards, procedures and processes
• Coordinates with receivers and tow motor operators to ensure proper flow of inbound product
• Hand-stacks all floor loads in appropriate manner with appropriate labels out, correct ti-hi's, and no mixed product
• Regularly ensures that product loads are properly handled to minimize damage to products
• Submits paperwork correctly and timely Wraps pallets to ensure stability when storing products

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Stands, bends, stoops, squats, reaches, twists, and otherwise moves continuously
• Frequently walks throughout the workday
• Frequently reaches above shoulder level to lift or otherwise move objects that weigh 30 -- 50 pounds and occasionally, 50-100 pounds when unloading and sorting pallet products
• Pushes and pulls frequently
• Functions and operates comfortably in a very active fast-paced environment
