Job summary

The Marketplace attendant at M.C. Dean’s Modular Mission Critical campus in Virginia is a hands-on role supporting lean manufacturing and marketplace utilization. You will ensure materials are received, stocked, and tracked to maintain the production flow.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in manufacturing or warehouse roles, strong attention to detail, and teamwork abilities; you will work across shifts and coordinate with the Inventory Coordinator to maintain accurate signals and replenishment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or material-handling role.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, reliability, and teamwork.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Must obtain Material Handling Equipment Certification
• Stock materials from receiving into the Marketplace.
• Replenish minimarket inventory bins that come in from material routes.
• Must perform cycle counts as directed by Inventory Coordinator.
• Ensure inventory transactions are completed in the DWS management system.
• Assist with Ad-hoc material requests to keep production flowing.
• Assist in implementation of PFEP and 5S disciplines.
• Audit Inventory levels to maintain accurate visual signals and system signals.
• Support 2nd shift marketplace team as needed (shift changes when needed).
• Support in initial implementation of minimarkets on production lines.
• Track defects and errors on metric boards with the Inventory Coordinator.
• Respond quickly and accurately to Kanban signals and replenishment needs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Provide feedback to the Coordinator and Manager on process or flow issues.
• Serve as back up to water spider as needed.
• Perform other duties as designated by management.
