Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures in Tulsa, OK is seeking a 2nd Shift Lead Welder to guide a welding team on a 4:30pm-2:30am schedule. You will drive production quality and on-time delivery while enforcing safety and teamwork in a heavy fabrication environment.

The role requires strong welding and blueprint knowledge, plus scheduling and dispatching experience across a bay-based operation. English/Spanish bilingual abilities are a plus. Join a company with sixty years of industry leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in a metal fabrication or welding facility.
• Knowledge of blueprints and layouts (transmission poles preferred).
• Scheduling daily production per bay.
• Dispatching to track poles in/out of shop.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Dependable, mature with leadership.
• Regular attendance and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily work assignments for Quality, Production, Safety and On Time Deliveries.
• Enforce safety procedures and audits.
• Manage and forecast daily production operations for assigned group.
• Set and manage production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply, staffing resources, and demand.
• Overcome obstacles to meet safety, production, efficiency, and quality metrics.
• Ensure production paperwork is completed on time and accurately.
• Ensure work products are inspected before quality inspections.
• Coach employees on fit up and welding processes.
