Job summary

Aerotek in Gilbert, AZ is hiring a 2nd Shift Assembler to perform complex mechanical assembly and mentor junior assemblers in a fast-paced production environment. You will read engineering drawings, follow lean processes, maintain inventory, and collaborate with engineers to resolve manufacturing issues.

This role is onsite and requires strong team collaboration and quality focus. This contract-to-hire position runs on the 2nd shift, with a 10% shift differential, and offers comprehensive

Qualifications

• 25+ years of experience in assembly/manufacturing.
• Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train and mentor junior team members.
• Strong knowledge of quality control processes.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies.
• Coach and train lower-level assemblers on techniques, safety, and quality.
• Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory compliance standards.
• Review and improve assembly processes for efficiency and waste reduction.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Perform final quality inspections and testing to ensure products meet standards.
• Maintain inventory of parts and materials needed for assembly.
• Follow lean manufacturing guidelines and propose efficiency improvements.
