Location Profile:

Located in North Hollywood, CA, Avibank Manufacturing, Inc., a PCC Company, part of the Engineered Products Group, is a leading manufacturer specializing in sophisticated fasteners and multi-component fastening systems, solving complex engineering and performance challenges.

Position Summary
Candidates for a Level 1 Laboratory Technician, under supervision, will learn tasks related to monitoring and controlling processing solutions and chemicals. Responsibilities include collecting samples, performing tests, formulating solutions, maintaining equipment, and recordkeeping. Candidates should be self-disciplined, motivated, and detail-oriented.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate laboratory equipment as per specifications.
• Conduct Lot Acceptance and qualification tests according to customer and engineering specifications.
• Test samples for conformity and record results.
• Evaluate test results to accept or reject materials.
• Prepare graphs, charts, and maintain equipment calibration.
• Perform Hardness and metallurgical tests, including micro- and macro-examinations, grain flow, decarburization, alpha case, case hardening, grain size, and micro-hardness evaluations.

Required Skills
Candidates must perform duties satisfactorily, with knowledge of basic math, computer skills (Microsoft Office), and experience in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and work near heavy machinery.

Experience & Education
2-4 years related technical experience or equivalent; familiarity with blueprints and NASM1312 Fastener Test Methods; minimum AA degree or equivalent.

Level of Education
Minimum AA Degree or equivalent.
