Job description

Job Description: Troubleshoot, repair and maintain heavy industrial equipment and facilities used for melting and processing metal / metal particles in order to maintain a safe and effective production environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Follow all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
2. Working knowledge of how the equipment operates.
3. Perform safety inspections and preventive maintenance on specified items.
4. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make machine adjustments.
5. Identify repair parts needed and communicate part numbers for ordering.
6. Perform installation and setup of new production machinery.
7. Able to work with little or no supervision.
8. Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent.
9. Minimum of 5 years related experience.
10. Ability to demonstrate and apply mechanical aptitude.
11. Able to use hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments.
12. Must have basic welding (stick, MIG, TIG) and fabrication skills.
13. Machining experience (lathe, mill, surface grinder) is a plus.
14. Basic ability to read blueprints, machine manuals, equipment specifications, and installation instructions.
15. Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
16. Standing, walking while performing duties.
17. Occasionally required to climb, stoop, or kneel.
18. Frequently required to work from heights, ladders, operate and work from a man lift, operate a fork truck and hand jack.

Work Schedule:

1. 3 pm – 11:30 pm
2. Overtime and weekends as required.

Compensation:

1. $30-$35/hr
2. 2nd Shift Premium -$1.00/hr
3. Overtime- time and half. Sundays- double time.
4. Annual reviews.
