Position Overview

The Janitorial Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation across Harrisburg University spaces for employees, students, and visitors.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily janitorial duties, ensuring tasks are completed to standard.
• Evaluate janitorial work and ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Train new staff on cleaning procedures.
• Manage inventory and coordinate supply orders.
• Report repair needs to facilities.
• Adjust schedules and assign duties as needed, especially during staff shortages or large events.
• Resolve conflicts among team members.
• Perform janitorial duties when necessary.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, extractors, and surface machines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook).
