Job summary

AllSearch Professional Staffing is seeking a Production Painter for a Gallatin, TN manufacturing client. This 2nd shift role (2:15 PM – 10:45 PM) focuses on applying industrial coatings to metal components in a high-volume environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in production painting, experience with epoxy/urethane coatings, and proficiency with HVLP and pressure-fed spray equipment. The position offers a base pay of $19.00–$26.00 per hour plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of production painting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with industrial coatings (epoxy, urethane, polyurethane, or similar).
• Proficiency using HVLP gravity-feed and pressure-fed spray equipment.
• Experience with surface preparation, bodywork, and defect repair on metal components.
• Ability to perform wet sanding and buffing to high-quality finishes.
• Experience mixing coatings to specification and maintaining batch/mix records.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and production documentation.

Responsibilities

• Apply industrial coatings using HVLP (gravity-feed), pressure-fed, and bedliner spray systems.
• Perform surface preparation including sanding, masking, cleaning, and defect repair.
• Mix paints and coatings to manufacturer specifications, ensuring ratios, viscosity, and pot life control.
• Execute wet sanding and buffing to meet finish requirements.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and finishing specifications.
• Measure and verify coating application, including film thickness and finish quality.
• Maintain and clean spray equipment, paint booths, and work areas.
• Follow safety procedures, including proper PPE usage and hazardous material handling.
• Document production work, material usage, and quality issues; report defects and rework as needed.
