Job summary

The Sheridan Group in Minnesota is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). The role focuses on mechanical troubleshooting, maintaining production equipment and facilities, and supporting safe, reliable operations in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and mechanical breakdowns, maintaining and fabricating parts, preventing and repairing maintenance tasks, and safeguarding equipment through proper

Qualifications

2–3 years of mechanical technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
Mechanical aptitude and understanding of Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures.
Electrical knowledge including single phase 120V, three phase 480V and 24 VDC power systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
Maintain, alter, rebuild and adjust equipment and facilities, including fabricating parts and assemblies.
Study recurring facility-oriented failures to find solutions.
Complete all preventive, scheduled and emergency maintenance and repair work to facilities and equipment.
Perform safety measures in the design and installation of equipment.
Maintain an inventory of supplies and materials necessary for the operation of the building and manufacturing.
