Job summary

ProAmpac in Cheektowaga, NY seeks an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3 PM–11 PM). Training on 1st shift for 1 month (7 AM–3 PM) may be required. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to keep production running.

The role requires strong hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education.
• Minimum of 5 years of machine repair and industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong preference for PLC control systems repair and maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose machine problems.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• troubleshoot & repair equipment and adhere to maintenance documentation requirements
• engage in workplace safety improvement initiatives
• disassemble machinery to remove parts and make repairs
• repair and maintain operating condition of production machinery
• examine parts for defects
• reassemble equipment after inspections or repairs
• observe and test operation to diagnose malfunctions with testing devices
• clean, lubricate, and adjust parts and machinery
• lift 50lbs frequently
• record repairs and maintenance performed
• cut and weld metal to repair parts and fabricate new ones
• order parts / supplies as needed
