Job Summary

The Inbound Material Handler is responsible for unloading, checking in, and stocking new inventory into the warehouse. These tasks must be completed efficiently and accurately to ensure smooth inbound operations. This position requires the use of internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, including Powered Industrial Trucks.

Responsibilities

• Unload domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment or manually unload import containers.
• Use our ERP system to receive inventory accurately and efficiently, preparing it for storage.
• Move palletized products with pallet jacks or forklifts to organize the receiving dock or transport to other areas.
• Scan and place inventory in racking locations using forklifts and handheld scanners.
• Operate warehouse equipment following safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and report hazards.
• Work with team members and leadership to meet departmental goals.
• Follow all company and warehouse policies.
• Assist in other duties and departments as needed to support operations.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day.
• Communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Use hands for grasping and manipulations.
• Bend, squat, crawl, climb, and reach regularly.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs regularly.

Experience

1 year+ relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required.

Education

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.

Working Environment
