Smithfield Foods is hiring a Hog Loader to work with a team in our Clinton, NC facility. The role focuses on sorting and loading animals from pens to trucks, with emphasis on safety, animal welfare, and efficient handling.

You will use a herding board and assist in maintaining cleanliness of equipment while respecting company policies. The position requires the ability to perform hard physical labor, work flexible day or night shifts, and collaborate with others in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with livestock handling is helpful.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hard physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Sorts and loads animals in a safe, productive manner.
• Uses herding board to move animals from pen to aisle.
• Counts animals onto trucks.
• Maintains cleanliness of crew vehicles and equipment.
• Follows Environmental, Biosecurity and safety policies.
