Job summary

PADNOS is seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect and maintain a range of equipment including semi-tractors, trailers and heavy machinery. The role emphasizes diagnosing issues, repairing hydraulics and electrical systems, and ensuring safety and accuracy in all work performed.

The ideal candidate has diesel mechanic experience and comfortable working independently or in a team, with a focus on productivity and quality outcomes in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• One plus year of related diesel mechanic or related military training.
• Knowledge of welding and torching helpful, but not necessary.
• Mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
• Related experience and knowledge of the methods, materials tools and techniques used in repairing semi tractors & trailers.
• Strong communication skills, effective communicator.
• Proven ability to work alone or in a team setting.
• Attention to accuracy and detail.
• Demonstrated safety consciousness.
• Relevant Military experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers and heavy equipment.
• Repair hydraulics, electrical and other mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot and mechanical diagnosis to identify repair needs.
• Prepare and complete required paperwork.
