Job summary

OPTI STAFFING GROUP is hiring a 2nd Shift Heavy Duty Mechanic in Sumner, WA. You will perform preventative maintenance and repair on a fleet of trucks and heavy equipment, with training provided for unfamiliar machinery.

We offer a competitive hourly wage of $34.40–$44.00, Monday to Friday schedule 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, and a comprehensive benefits package plus a $1,000 annual tool reimbursement to keep your equipment up to date.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of journeyman diesel mechanic experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing trucks and heavy equipment.
• Experience with manual transmissions, hydraulic, air, and electric brakes is important.
• DOT inspections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on light- to heavy-duty trucks and heavy construction equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Work with a diverse fleet including pavers and rollers; training provided for unfamiliar equipment.
• Maintain safety and reliability of the fleet to support field crews.
