Job summary

Dover’s Vehicle Service Group (VSG) in Madison, IN is seeking a Grade 7 Welder on 2nd shift to perform general structural welding using GMAW semi-automatic and SAW. You will read blueprints, set up fixtures, and ensure weld quality in a warehouse environment.

The role requires lifting 35 lbs repeatedly, following safety PPE rules, and passing welding coupons and written tests. This position is full-time, onsite in Madison, IN with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass general aptitude/basic math skills test.
• Must be able to lift at least 35 lbs multiple times per day.
• Must pass welding coupon test.
• Must pass written welding test.

Responsibilities

• Set up and position fixtures; adjust heat and travel speed.
• Load wire and wire reel; change gas or flux as needed.
• Check setup and finished parts for quality.
• Operate welding machines and maintain tolerances on prints.
• Ensure safe housekeeping and PPE compliance.
