Job summary

Amalie Oil Company in Tampa, FL is seeking a General Maintenance Worker for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). This full-time role involves semi-skilled maintenance of mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and grounds across our facilities.

You will install, repair and remodel systems, operate hand and power tools, and participate in safety and preventive maintenance. A strong work ethic, ability to climb and work from heights, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Basic principles, equipment, methods and materials for building and grounds maintenance.
• Operation and maintenance of equipment and tools used in maintenance work.
• Shop mathematics and basic record keeping are required.
• Clear written and oral communication is essential.
• Must be able to climb and work from heights (up to 48 feet).
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plumbing, pipefitting, lighting, motors, generators, conduit.
• Perform carpentry work (rough and finish) and ceiling/flooring tasks.
• Maintain doors, windows, fencing, irrigation, and hardware.
• Manage general grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming, pruning, and cleanup.
• Operate hand and power tools and various machinery; address safety hazards.
