Clin-Path Diagnostics, located in Tempe, Arizona, seeks a Surgical Pathology Technician responsible for grossing surgical specimens according to company and regulatory standards. This role requires collaboration with Pathologist Assistants and assisting in training new staff.
Candidates must have an Associate's degree in laboratory science or equivalent training. Strong communication and anatomy knowledge are essential for effectiveness in this role, alongside experience using necessary laboratory equipment.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM (occasional Saturday may be required)
The position is responsible for the grossing functions in compliance with company policies, regulatory and client requirements at CPD. For technical support, the Surg. Path Tech will report to the Pathologist Assistant assigned to oversee grossing functions at CPD. This position will report to the Administrative Director at Clin-Path Diagnostics, LLC in terms of administrative oversight.
Employees are responsible for following all Company policies and procedures. These policies and procedures will include adherence to regulatory standards such CLIA and OSHA, including safety standards in performing all aspects of the functions below.
Requires knowledge of anatomy and pathology specimen dissection. Requires the ability to understand complex work processes, to modify such processes and to coordinate activities with other departments and clients.
Level I: 3 years or less of relevant work experience
Level II: 4-7 years of relevant work experience
Level III / Lead: 8+ years of relevant work experience or equivalent training plus the ability to self‑direct and complete the essential functions of a Level III or Lead position.
