Job summary

Ventura Coastal, LLC is hiring for a 2nd Shift fruit grader at the Visalia plant in Visalia, CA. The position runs 2pm–10:30pm with a shift differential of $0.40 per hour and pays $21.23 per hour.

Primary duties include inspecting fruit enroute from receiving to extractors, separating substandard fruit, and working with a crew of four to six graders on the shift. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain concentration for a minimum of two hours at a time while fruit passes the grading table in heavy volumes.
• One year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Food safety is the responsibility of all Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees; report food safety and quality problems to the supervisor on duty.
• Walk up 3 flights of stairs to workstation.
• Discard all decaying, split fruit or foreign objects.
• Clean extractors, food sizers and grading table as required.
• Follow all safety rules and practices including wearing PPE.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Act professionally towards customers, vendors or visitors to the plant.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
