Job summary

International Paper is seeking a Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift (2pm-10pm, Monday-Friday) in Byesville, OH. You will safely operate a sit-down PIT, load/unload trailers and verify shipment records, while following safety and quality procedures.

You should have at least 2 years of PIT experience, be able to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and be proficient with scanning equipment and data entry. Health and retirement benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years PIT experience.
• Previous PIT operating experience in an industrial setting is required.
• A background as an order picker is preferred.
• Corrugated industry environment preferred.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer-literate; able to use scanning equipment and coordinate product transport.
• Able to learn, follow instructions, ask questions and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down powered industrial truck (PIT).
• Verify and maintain records on incoming/outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.
• Load and unload trailers.
• Complete pre-start PIT maintenance inspection report.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures for trailer loading/unloading.
• Complete and submit load sheets and receiving reports.
• Record grades and bale counts and ensure accurate outbound shipment data.
• Follow load patterns according to trailer/railcar requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
