Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is hiring a 2nd Shift Forklift Operator in Dayton, NJ. Pay is $20.50 per hour with benefits. Work Monday–Friday, 4:00pm–12:30am in a fast-paced distribution center environment. Duties include lifting, moving inventory, and supporting safe, accurate warehouse operations.

The role requires at least 1 year of forklift experience and competency with PKMS. Onsite position with opportunities for training and cross‑certification across multiple equipment types.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year forklift experience with Swing Reach, Reach Truck, & Order Picker.
• Onsite role requiring good attendance and teamwork.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily forklift operations on 2nd shift.
• Produce daily hub picks using the inventory system.
• Move items using power equipment as needed.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in the warehouse system.
• Complete staging and cleaning tasks and ensure safe work areas.
• Load/unload and stack products with power equipment.
• Promote safety and follow company policies.

The Forklift Driver - 2nd Shift position is located in Dayton, NJ

You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will:

• Work with leadership to ensure the completion of all (Manual and On-Task) tasks by end of each day.
• Complete daily pick for the Hub with the use of our inventory management system.
• Utilizing the orders to understand where items need to be moved – may or may not include power equipment.
• Utilizing the warehouse system to maintain and uphold inventory accuracy.
• Ensuring the completion of all staging/sweeping tasks using power equipment.
• Loads and unloads, stacks, and stages products utilizing multiple types of power equipment.
• Ensure organization and housekeeping of aisles and surroundings daily.
• Promote safety awareness and cultivate the safety culture throughout the company to help avoid unsafe or hazardous working conditions.
• Other duties as instructed.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least 1 year of forklift experience in operating the following: Swing Reach, Reach Truck, & Order Picker.
• This is an onsite and in office role.
• Excellent attendance and willingness to be part of a team – performing whatever duties are necessary.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to learn warehouse management system functions (PKMS).
• Ability to read and verify locations and SKU numbers.
• Willing and able to be cross trained and certified to operate any or all WSI DDC equipment: Reach Tracker, Pacers, Swing Reach, Order Picker/TT, Motorized Pallet Jack.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and be a fast learner.
• Flexible to work overtime as required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

• Able to bend, reach, squat, and climb stairs/ladders.
