Job summary

Owens Corning in Stanley, VA is seeking a Core Forklift operator for 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3:00pm-1:30am). The role requires safe forklift operation, precise material handling, and the ability to read schedules and differentiate stock from profile materials to support line throughput.

You will load/unload, move and stage raw materials and doors, verify core requirements, and maintain accurate material flow across the plant.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge reading/interpreting schedules and distinguishing stock vs. profile materials.
• Advanced knowledge of SKU's, material cut requirements, and coordinating material flow.
• Forklift operating skills to load/unload, move and stack materials with safety.
• Ability to use a measuring tape to 16th and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load, unload, move, and place raw materials and doors.
• Verify core material requirements and direct handling to routers/lines as needed.
• Maintain accurate material flow and recover/return materials to bins.
• Communicate clearly with upstream and downstream departments and follow schedules.
