Job summary

Menasha Corporation is hiring for an Open Food Machine Operator on 2nd shift in Alsip, IL. The role focuses on startup, setup, and operation of vertical form fill seal (VFFS) packaging equipment to meet quality and production targets.

Candidates should have at least 3 years in manufacturing, strong mechanical troubleshooting, and ability to learn SAP. The job includes safety, sanitation, and adherence to GMP standards in a fast-paced packaging environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing and machine operation.
• Ability to learn SAP and navigate system.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup checks at the beginning of each shift and set up machines.
• Test procedures to ensure equipment runs optimally and log results.
• Monitor VFFS packaging operation and ensure quality per work instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, document issues and coordinate repairs.
