Job summary

DWYER INSTRUMENTS, LLC is seeking a Flexible Assembler 1 for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 12pm-10:30pm) to join our manufacturing team.

You will follow quality control and safety procedures, assemble stainless steel probes and plastic housings, test sensors, and perform wire cutting, crimping, soldering and related assembly tasks.

No formal education is required, but you must be trainable, detail oriented, capable of multitasking, and a strong team player.

Qualifications

• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
• Lift up to 60 lbs as needed.
• Trainable and cooperative during probation.
• Excellent attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Follow quality control and safety procedures.
• Maintain data records for work in process and finished goods inventory.
• Count raw materials and reconcile with work orders.
• Assemble probes and housings per work orders.
• Test sensors and wires for proper operation.
• Pot and sensor assembly steps as described.
• Crimp wires, solder sensors, and heat shrink as required.
• Use test equipment for specified procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Flexible Assembler 1

2nd Shift - Monday - Thursday, 12pm - 10:30pm

Job Duties

• Follow all quality control and safety procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain and update all data records for work in process and finished goods inventory.
• Physical count of all raw materials from inventory to match to work orders.
• Use equipment and tools to assemble stainless steel probes and plastic housings per work orders.
• Test sensors and wires after they are assembled to make sure they work and have no defects.
• Mix potting material and potting sensors.
• Use tools and equipment to cut wires and crimp sensors to wires.
• Heat shrink using heat guns or heat shrinking machine.
• Solder sensors on wires.
• Use test equipment for given test procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Physical Aspects of the Job

• Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
• Some lifting required (up to 60lbs).
• May be required to use the following equipment: small hand tools, wire strippers, wire cutters, fluke meter, multimeter, drills, crimping machine, potting machine, tape machine, plastic bag machine, press, soldering iron, and heat gun.
