Job summary

KENT Nutrition, a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family, seeks a focused Machine Operator for our Logansport, IN plant. You will run feed production equipment, ensure quality, and support loading, receiving, and bagging operations on a 2nd shift.

We value strong work ethic, teamwork, and safety. Candidates should be able to lift 55 lbs, operate forklifts, and communicate effectively with teammates and customers. This role offers a complete benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3 to 5 years manufacturing experience.
• Farming background is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to communicate with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products.
• Operate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow warehouse and loading protocols.
• Ensure Kent Nutrition's quality assurance is met regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging.
• Record and document all feed manufactured during shift.
• Mix and prepare livestock feeds accurately.
• Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed.
• Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Observe and enforce all company policies & procedures.
• Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Management
