Job summary

Harbinger Motors is seeking a proactive Facilities Maintenance Technician I for the 2nd shift on a contract basis. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems to maintain a safe and functional workplace.

Requirements include a high school diploma, basic skills across electrical, plumbing, HVAC and safety practices. A California driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required; salary is $27–$32 per hour with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced EV company.

Qualifications

• Understanding of building trades including electric, plumbing, painting and HVAC systems.
• Proficient with common tools and equipment used in building maintenance.
• Basic computer skills for data entry, retrieval and record-keeping.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications and manuals.
• Knowledge of safety practices and PPE requirements; OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks to standard.
• Installs, inspects, repairs and performs basic preventive maintenance on systems.
• Assists with facility projects including painting, drywall and fixture installation.
• Logs activities in a work order system and tracks progress.
• Coordinates with contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
• Assists with office moves and reconfigurations; handles heavy lifting.
• Adheres to safety policies and LOTO procedures.
