Job summary

Avalign is seeking a 2nd shift Fabrication Lead to guide a cell of operators in meeting schedule, quality, and safety targets. You will translate blueprints and work orders into clear tasks and coach teammates to improve skills daily.

You’ll inspect parts, enforce housekeeping, and coordinate equipment maintenance while partnering with the area supervisor to ensure adherence to procedures. This role emphasizes teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
• 3+ years of fabrication experience.
• Frontline supervisory or team lead experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a fabrication cell to meet schedule, quality, and safety targets.
• Translate blueprints and work orders into actionable tasks.
• Inspect parts visually and dimensionally using basic measuring tools.
• Enforce housekeeping and safety; coordinate equipment care and report malfunctions.
• Coach, train, and cross‑train team members; plan and direct work to meet demand.
• Collaborate with the area supervisor to ensure adherence to procedures.
• Support hiring, performance feedback, recognition, and conflict resolution as needed.
