Merit Medical Systems in Pearland, TX is hiring an Extrusion Operator II for the 2nd shift (3:30pm-2:00am) to operate and troubleshoot extrusion lines and support production goals.

The role requires a high school diploma with 3 years of related experience, strong attention to quality, and the ability to work collaboratively on a busy manufacturing floor. Merit offers multiple shifts and comprehensive benefits including health insurance and 401K.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a high school diploma.
• Three years of related experience.
• Knowledge of extrusion equipment such as extruders, braiders, pullers, cutters, dies.

Responsibilities

• Operates extrusion equipment for mandrel, wirebraid, and compounding lines.
• Maintains, troubleshoots extruders, blenders, cutters, pullers, water baths, and sizing equipment.
• Processes documentation such as work orders.
• Assists in implementing new products and equipment.
• Contributes to department goals and operational metrics.
• Trains other production operators under supervision.
• Coordinates with materials, production floor, stock room and NPD to establish priorities.
• Conducts production, R&D, and engineering runs.
• Ensures employees complete tasks per procedures.
• Performs other related duties.
