Job summary

Americhem is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift at our Morrisville, PA facility. You will operate extrusion equipment, set up and monitor processes, and ensure product quality in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma (or equivalent) and 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, with knowledge of materials, tools, and safety protocols. A Tow Motor forklift certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing/production preferred.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, equipment, machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of production processes and techniques for effective manufacture of products.
• Knowledge of compound formulation and ability to evaluate color.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional customer service to include customer needs assessment, quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures that promote safety for personnel and property.
• Fundamental knowledge of quality controls and continuous improvement applications.
• Knowledge and application of arithmetic, algebra, and geometry.
• Computer literate to include knowledge and application of information and data management systems, electronic equipment, and computer software (i.e., Microsoft Suite, Oracle).
• Valid driver’s license with reliable automobile transportation.
• Tow Motor Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion equipment according to product specifications.
• Set up extruder and adjust feed rate and temperature.
• Ensure safety procedures and PPE compliance.
• Maintain quality by checking color and pellet quality.
• Document labor hours and production data.
