Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Austin is seeking an Environmental Test Technician for the Environmental Test Lab. This role involves supporting the setup and execution of thermal vacuum chamber tests for satellite components. The ideal candidate has hands-on testing experience in dynamic and thermal environments, along with proficiency in software skills like Windows OS and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Self-starter working well in a team environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Training on first shift for up to 6 months before transitioning to second shift.
• Experience utilizing MIL-STD-810G, SMC-S-016 or similar.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for running test equipment in the Environmental Test Lab.
• Set up and tear down of test equipment for each test.
• Document all work performed for QA inspection.
• Collaborate with test engineers to troubleshoot failures.

Skills

Hands on testing experience

Training in basic operation of oscilloscope & multimeter

Software/Computer Skills

Ability to lift and stand for long periods

Education

A.S. in Metrology, Instrumentation, Physics, Math, Engineering or related field
