This position is based in our satellite production facility in Midland, TX, with full relocation provided (details below).

Position Overview

We are in search of an Environmental Test Technician I to support execution of environmental testing activities including thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, and acoustic testing. This role operates under general supervision while performing test setup, execution, and documentation. The Technician I is expected to have foundational hands‑on experience and the ability to execute standard tests with guidance, while continuing to build technical depth and troubleshooting capability. This position plays a critical role in ensuring product integrity, safety, and compliance with aerospace and regulatory standards.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $22/ hour based on experience, with overtime opportunities. Higher-level roles are available for more experienced candidates at increased pay.
• Schedule: 2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6pm to 4am (4x10) with paid lunch and breaks.
• Flexibility: Night and weekend shifts with increased pay are also available depending on experience and team needs.

What You’ll Do

• Perform environmental testing including thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, acoustic, and related tests with guidance as needed
• Set up and operate test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems following established procedures
• Execute test plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs) with attention to detail and accuracy
• Assist with test configuration, fixturing, and instrumentation installation
• Monitor tests and accurately record data; identify and report anomalies or deviations
• Troubleshoot routine test issues and escape more complex problems as needed
• Document test results, observations, and non-conformances in accordance with quality standards
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements
• Support equipment upkeep, basic maintenance, and calibration activities
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers to support successful test execution
• Maintain organized work areas and test documentation

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of relevant hands‑on technical experience

• Exposure to environmental test methods (thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, acoustic)
• Basic familiarity with test instrumentation and data acquisition systems
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and test procedures
