Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Environmental Services technician to clean patient rooms and surrounding areas. You will prepare beds, maintain supply levels, and ensure rooms are ready for use while following isolation and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include coordinating with departments for projects, using EPIC for bed tracking, and maintaining safe chemical handling and PPE usage in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in cleaning or EVS is helpful.
• Ability to follow safety and isolation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas including furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Make beds and prepare patient rooms per standards.
• Maintain EVS closet, cart, and equipment in order.
• Report hazards or needed repairs to supervisor.
• Adhere to all policies and waste handling rules.
